Crowley sulks and Aziraphale sasses in this sweet fic with perfect dialogue about the downsides of being a reptile in winter.

I thought I’d make up a little Good Omens rec list for all of you as both a present for the holidays and a thank you for following me. It is just a tiny rec list made up of a few of my favorite Good Omens stories. Enjoy!
Note: Sorry to recycle this from my main but making two separate rec lists would be kinda silly.
In classic me fashion, I bit off more than I could chew this holiday season and therefore didn’t have time to write up recs for all the Christmas stories I wanted to. I’ll still be posting a Top 10 list and hopefully posting a rec or two but in the meantime, here is my Christmas tag featuring all the recs I wrote up last year to tide you over.
I hope to have a top 10 rec list and a few Christmas stories for you coming up in the next few days but in the mean time, here is a link to a beautifully collection of GO fics that is growing every day. Enjoy!
I’m sorry I haven’t posted any new fic recs on here as of recently. I do plan to continue updating in hopefully the near future but I’ve been a bit busy. I just wanted to inform you all that I hopefully fixed all the broken links to stories on The Good Omens Library now that they have finished moving. Please feel free to inform me if you find any remaining broken links and I will fix them as best I can. As always, feel free to submit fic recs to the blog and I will post them as soon as I can.

“What goes around comes around—often in the dead of night, drunk on Chateau Margaux 1787, and without ringing first.” This story about Crowley and Aziraphale’s relationship at two distinct points: Eden and the modern era, is filled with creative imagery and word selection with an quirky sense of humor on top.

This story is composed of a series of short scenes set throughout history, from immediately post-Eden to immediately post-almost-apocalypse and focuses on Crowley and Aziraphale dealing with the tragedies of the world. The writing is overall rather beautiful and Crowley and Aziraphale are perfectly in-character with my favorite bit being the subtle way Crowley’s more gentle nature is shown over the course of the story.

Crowley and Aziraphale visit Alaska. Perfectly in-character and with a sweeter version of the original books own brand of narrative voice and humor, this story is a real charmer.

Crowley wakes from a nap to find himself curled up with a reading Aziraphale. Both the Crowley and Aziraphale of this story seem right in-character and I love the peaceful, familiar atmosphere of this piece.
Two pieces of weather-related possibly gen, possibly slash AC fluff: one about a rainy day and another about a snowy one.

This quiet little story is a collection of good prose and images that paint a charming and cozy picture of the Arrangement on rainy days.

Crowley and Aziraphale try to have sex and Crowley unravels a little at the seams as he tries to convince himself that he is okay. With beautiful prose and imagery and featuring a perfectly vulnerable Crowley, this little piece is nearly a heartbreaking poem rather than a story.
I’ll only post about it on here once but I thought I’d mention that I’ve finally started up a Sherlock fic rec blog for your possible amusement. It will be much the same as this blog (aka extensively tagged and same rec write-up process) and will heavily focus on Johnlock stories. Feel free to ignore this message, or follow my new rec blog or just bookmark it as I have no intention of changing the url ever. Thank you for your general support in my fic recing ventures and I shall now return you to your regularly scheduled Good Omens postings.

In this final installment of The Revenge of the Houseplants series, Hastur attempts to foil Crowley’s theoretical plan to fall the angel by driving a wedge between them and befriending Aziraphale. It works. All of H.J. Bender’s works have a great sense of authorial voice to them and this is no different. From great in-character conversations to a few heart-shattering moments to the suspenseful conclusion, this story was one of my first fanfiction loves and remains one of my favorites to this day. Note: Crowley is a tad bit on the extra-demonic side and Aziraphale a tad bit too gullible for my personal headcanon but neither ruined the experience for me.

A misunderstanding leads to an inadvertent exchange of gifts between Aziraphale and Crowley. Mind-numbingly sweet in an endearing, plausible way.

Crowley and Aziraphale explore Lust - it’s for educational purposes, really. Their status as beings of angelic stock who very much need to choose to make an effort is given due thought and consideration and the manner it is handled in is innocent and adorable.

First, I’d like to state that I now have my good computer back and therefore hope to be more on track for updating this blog pseudo-consistently. I’d also like to note that I did a few housekeeping things around the blog like updating the Tag List page and adding contents to the Already Recommended page so that it now finally should be up to date. Once I fix a few non-functional tags I just found (all authors, don’t worry), this blog will be in tip-top shape. Also, just a reminder that if you’d like to see a favorite story on here or would just like to see it update more often, this blog is always taking submissions. As always, thank you all for making my little experiment a success so far.
